Y'all. Crocheting is one of the things that actually keep me somewhat busy. I'm way too excited about this project. I don't know but every time I finished a new project, the feeling can be magical or I guess I just love crochets. This weekend I was able to make a Mandela crochet bookmark. Bookmark is so perfect for a book hoarder. A unique and classy bookmark. Isn't cute? They're easy. I love the design and colors. I hope this bookmark can add enjoyment for your reading session. So let's start and make your own.
I used cotton yarns and 3mm steel hook.
1. Make a magic ring. Chain 3. *Double crochet. Chain 1*. Repeat *-* until you have 12 Double crochet. For the last Double crochet, slip stitch into second stitch of the 3 chains.
2. Chain 2. *Single crochet in the space stitch. Chain 1.* Repeat *-* until you finish all the chain spaces. Slip stitch the last 1 chain.
3. Chain 2. In the same stitch: Yarn over. Insert your hook. Pull through 2 loops. 2 loops remaining. Yarn over. Insert the hook. Pull through 2 loops. Now you have 3 loops remaining. Yarn over. Insert the hook. And pull through 2 loops. Now you have 4 loops remaining. Yarn over and pull through all the loops. Chain 1. Repeat this step in all the space stitches. Slip stitch the last 1 chain.
4. Chain 2. In the same stitch. 2 triple (treble) crochet. 1 double crochet. *In the next stitch: 1 Double crochet. 2 Triple (treble) crochet. 1 Double crochet*. Repeat *-* to finish all the space stitches. Slip stitch in the last stitch.
Lastly. Make a chain stitches. Length depends on your choice. The last stitch insert the yarns for the ribbons. Secure the yarns and cut the excess. And finish.
Thank you for always reading. Have a nice day ahead. Happy crocheting!
